You know we love a good challenge, and when we got the request to create a mash-up wedding ensemble—combining Captain Kirk’s Wrath of Khan uniform with the unmistakable Green Lantern Corps aesthetic—we immediately said, Engage!
How This Galactic Fusion Came to Be
Our client, an avid cosplayer (and a die-hard fan of both Star Trek and DC Comics), wanted something that screamed sci-fi hero but also wedding-day iconic. A standard tux? Too predictable. A Starfleet uniform? Not quite extra enough. A Green Lantern suit? Not formal enough.
So naturally, the only logical choice was to meld them together into one epic wedding ensemble that boldly goes where no wedding attire has gone before.
Designing the Ultimate Cosplay Wedding Suit
The design process involved many (seriously, so many) conversations about balancing these two worlds. Starfleet is all about clean lines, structured elegance, and command-ready tailoring, while Green Lantern’s aesthetic is sleek, heroic, and practically glowing with power (not literally glowing, but if we could have made this thing light up, trust me, we would have).
Key Features of This Cosmic Masterpiece:
✔ Starfleet Structure – Inspired by Kirk’s Wrath of Khan uniform, we incorporated the familiar asymmetrical front closure, high collar, and structured silhouette. ✔ Green Lantern Power – The uniform’s deep Starfleet reds were replaced with Lantern Corps green, complete with custom Green Lantern insignias on the chest and belt. ✔ Mash-Up Magic – The black contrast belt, sleeve cuffs, and signature Starfleet shoulder accents make this feel both high-ranking and heroic. ✔ Wedding-Ready Elegance – This isn’t just convention-ready; it’s altar-approved (assuming your wedding guests appreciate a good crossover event).
The Build: Because Sewing a Power Ring Is Harder Than You’d Think

We selected a high-quality satin-backed crepe for the jacket, giving it a subtle sheen that reads both Starfleet regulation and Green Lantern glow.
The pants? Classic Starfleet black with a custom side stripe that subtly integrates the Lantern theme.
The belt buckle was hand-painted and sealed for durability—because if you’re wielding Green Lantern power (and also cake-cutting duty), you need a durable accessory.
